Our Story
A Dream Born in Taiwan, Shared Through Every Dish
Us
From Passion to Profession: A Culinary Dream That Crossed Oceans.
Our story began over a decade ago with two women from Taiwan, united by their love for cooking and the dream of bringing authentic Taiwanese flavours to the world. Both trained at Le Cordon Bleu Australia, one of the world’s most respected culinary institutions, where they built a strong foundation in Western and Asian cuisine, food safety, and kitchen management.
In 2018, they opened their first store in Caulfield South, gaining popularity for its heartfelt, home-style Taiwanese food. With growing demand, they expanded into Clayton, launching Taiwan Yes 夜市 — a larger space inspired by Taiwan’s bustling night markets and Melbourne’s multicultural dining scene.
From a dream to a fully operational restaurant business, our journey is rooted in hard work, culinary skill, and the goal of building lasting cultural bridges through food.

Service
Professional Standards, Delivered with Heart.
At Taiwan Yes 夜市, we take service seriously. Every member of our team undergoes structured training in hospitality management, food safety procedures, allergy awareness, and bilingual communication. We implement an efficient POS-integrated ordering system, ensuring fast and accurate service for both dine-in and takeaway customers.
We serve a diverse community, so we provide bilingual menus, dietary labelling, and friendly support for first-time diners. Whether it’s peak lunch rush or a late-night snack, we ensure timely, professional, and personalised experiences — always with a smile.
Environment
Designed for Efficiency, Styled for Comfort.
Our Clayton restaurant is purpose-built for high-efficiency food service and a welcoming customer experience. The layout features clear service zones for dine-in, takeaway, and kitchen operations. We prioritise ventilation, hygiene standards, and safety compliance in accordance with Victorian hospitality regulations.
The design blends Melbourne café aesthetics with the energy of a traditional Taiwanese night market — warm lighting, and culturally inspired signage. It’s a place where both families and solo diners feel at home.

Taiwanese Stir-Fry
Technique, Tradition, and Real Flavour.
Stir-fry is the beating heart of Taiwanese street cuisine. Our chefs are highly skilled in fast-fire wok cooking, a technique that demands high heat, speed, and precision. From Three-Cup Chicken to Black Pepper Tofu, every dish is made to order using high-BTU commercial burners, authentic Taiwanese sauces, and locally sourced ingredients.
We follow a precise kitchen workflow that ensures consistency, cleanliness, and speed — bringing out bold, smoky flavours that define true Taiwanese cooking. It’s more than just a method; it’s a tradition of intensity, rhythm, and flavour passed down through generations.
